A majority of the requests of the Ukrainian entrepreneurs who participate in the project “Business Development Services Provided to Ukrainian MSME in crisis due to the ongoing war” are directed at the search for the sales channels abroad.
The consultants of the CMC-Ukraine community help business to identify the target markets abroad, form an export strategy and evaluate their level of readiness for export.
Our business is fighting, recovering, volunteering and heading for internationalization. The adaptation to the international environment is also in need for adaptation of the communication model.
We present to you the case of the domestic company Premier Socks, within which, thanks to the management consultant (CMC) Vitalii Hilenko, new opportunities for expansion of sales channels were discovered, new trade development channels abroad were found. Attraction of customers, improvement in brand awareness, increase of the production volumes – all of these are the result of perseverance, high level of intelligence, consultant’s understanding of the subject of the request and trusting cooperation with the customer.
The Premier Socks company – is one of the most famous socks producers in Ukraine. It was founded by Oleg Hardin in 2010 in Poltava region; the company produces around 22 million pairs of socks in a year! In the company, they say that every three seconds a pair of socks by Premier Socks is sold in the world.
They started production having 19 knitting machines, one of which was released in 1976, and the “youngest” machine was already 19 years old. Today, it is modern advanced manufacturing, where 250 and more machines and about 200 employees are working at the same time. The production of the company is represented not only in Ukrainian trade networks, but also in the EU countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Sweden).
Premier socks is a socially responsible business. The company cooperates with a charity fund “Helpgroup” and Poltava Volunteer group. Since russia fully invaded Ukraine, the enterprise has become even more engaged in volunteering work. As for today, about 120 thousand pairs of socks were delivered to soldiers, volunteers, internally displaced people, vulnerable segments of population. More than 1,5 million hryvnias were allocated for charitable assistance.
“Due to participation in the project, we were given an opportunity, in such difficult times for our country, to understand that we are not the only ones seeking for business surviving mechanisms in a state of war. Such projects and interaction – it is always development, an another, unbiased point of view, a breath of fresh air. After all, when working constantly in one area, quite often you stop paying attention to small things, and these things are often something crucial. And besides, thanks to Vitalii Hilenko’s support, we have accepted the fact that the EU market is not as complicated and unattainable as we thought it was. And it is actually possible to find partners a lot quicker, if using the right communication channels,” – shared the founder and owner of the Premier Socks company Oleg Hardin.
“Working with such companies gives strength to work, so you can see the feedback. I am grateful to the owner of the Premier Socks company Oleg Hardin and Vice President of Marketing Olena Babenko for their trust and effectiveness,” – pointed out the CMC consultant Vitalii Hilenko.
Delightful and inspiring results of the work of the management consultants of the CMC-Ukraine community allow domestic entrepreneurs to gain noticeable improvement.
The project is realized by CMC-Ukraine together with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ Ukraine with the support of Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office and National Platform Diia.Business.
We continue working!
Together to the Victory!
